Artwork hangs on permanent display at the Terbregge City Hall in Rotterdam, Holland, as part of a memorial exhibit dedicated to the liberation of Holland by Allied forces at the end of World War II.
The three panels, commissioned by Willem Ridder (author of "Countdown to Freedom"), honor the many U.S. B-17s, and Canadian and British Lancaster bombers which dropped 6,672 tons of food within Nazi- occupied Holland from April 29th through May 8th, 1945, saving 3.5 million Dutch citizens from certain starvation.
